OUR COMPANY

History

Surgo Construction limited was formally known as Bowey Construction, and is based at the Newcastle Business Park.

The company was established in 1907 by Ralph Bowey and built up a solid reputation in the North-eastern construction marketplace.

In March 2002 the Directors completed a Management buyout of Bowey Construction from the Bowey group and since that time it has been an independent trading entity.

On 1 st November 2004 was renamed Surgo. This represents another phase of the Company’s development since the de-merger and the company has increased its turnover from £18 million to £45 million in that period.

The personnel and ownership of the Company are unchanged but our new name reflects the change in the company’s status and aspirations.
